Peter is the boy in a family of guerrillas in full Italian occupation in 1942. He meets an Italian soldier, deserter, hiding in a barn in the bush. Each day, the soldier Pierre brings something to eat. In recognition of and in exchange for his silence, the soldier every day offer Peter a page of his book Architecture of the Italian Renaissance.
